We Want You to Ask Questions – We go above and beyond when it comes to third-party testing because we believe you deserve to know what you’re putting in your body and why. That’s why we not only do our own rigorous testing on each lot, but we also partner with Informed Sport to certify Essential Protein.
The Informed Sport mark signifies that Essential Protein meets the high quality standards of even the world’s most elite athletes. Essential Protein has undergone a rigorous screening for over 250 banned substances in sport and meets the strictest standards for quality control in manufacturing. You can even find your lot number on the informed sport website,
Additionally, our protein is tested for identity, purity, strength, and composition, so we can be sure that what’s on the label is what’s in the product. We also complete third-party testing to help ensure our products are compliant with regulations and guidelines for heavy metals, microbes and major allergens and to help assure the quality and safety of our products.
Essential Protein is soy-free, gluten free, vegan-friendly and formulated with non-GMO ingredients. Aim to meet most of your nutrient needs through the food you eat, and take a quality protein (like Essential Protein) and a quality multivitamin (like Essential for Women 18+ or Essential for Men 18+) to help fill gaps in the diet. * In order for a product to be considered in the “organic” category, it must contain at least 95% organic ingredients and the remaining 5% must be either organically produced (unless commercially unavailable) or allowed based on the national list.
Essential Protein is not organic because our novel formulation contains some ingredients that are not on the national list, like L-Methionine to provide a complete amino acid profile. We believe these ingredients are worth it. We do recommend taking both a Ritual multivitamin and Essential Protein together—in fact our plant-based protein was formulated with our multivitamins in mind.
* It’s your Ritual: we’ll send you an email each month, a few days before we charge you and ship your next bag. You’re free to rush or delay an order, or cancel your subscription, at any time, right from your account page. You’re in control. For best results, use a shaker bottle or blender instead of stirring.
